I have 3 DC’s, DC3 is working fine with as a time server and synchronizing with external time server but all users are getting time from DC2 and DC1 and three of them running as a time servers, DC2 and DC1 only update their time when I restart the service and after few seconds they revert back to old time.. I tried IP instead of name for external servers in regeidt but still same issue.. googling for troubleshooting this problem but unable to find any thing to fix this issue....

Any idea/ advise?

the server holding your PDC Emulator FSMO role should be the one synching its time with an external source. The other DCs, member servers, and clients will synchronize accordingly.

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)

Thanks unclerico,

My problem is still there, say DC1 is holding FSMO role and configured as SNTP, problem is when I restart the service via net stop w32time and net start w32time server start synching with external time server but only for few seconds and revert back to old time...

does it make any sense to you?

any idea?
