Hi all:

I am trying to configure NTP secure client associations for all the routers in my network. Our NTP server does not admit authentication, so I thought that NTP access group could be a good choice. But, do I need to use NTP access group for clients? The config is only:

ntp server 1.1.1.1 prefer
ntp server 1.1.1.2

So my routers will not respond to queries, right?

Regards,

dtabera,

With that config your router will not answer NTP requests. The ntp master or ntp peer commands will enable responses.
You can find details for NTP in the
"Cisco IOS Configuration Fundamentals Command Reference"

Hope this helps.
