NTP - another question

Read all the posts on NTP - very helpful.

I have started xntp daemon.
Edited my ntp.conf file to contained 3 different NTP servers.
When i use the ntpq , peer command , the 3 servers appear but the ref id column heading says 0.0.0.0

When i try ntpdate -q servername
server , stratum 0, offset 0.000000, delay 0.00000
18 Sep 10:53:27 ntpdate[17792]: no server suitable for synchronization found.

Anything i can do?
