I recently had to restore my harddrive using HP's system recovery (that's partitioned on the drive) and I came up with the dreaded
NTLDR is compressed
Press ctrl + alt + del
Error...
I tried using the bootmaster plus from to no avail. After copying the files and going onto the next step (after pressing 1: Boot DOS) I get more errors reading:
Please enter the correct location (for example C:\COMMAND.COM):
Bad or missing the Command Interpreter: 2 -
I'm still stuck and I don't want to have to do a clean wipe because I have gigs of pictures and documents that are held dear to my heart.
Please, let me know what can be done.
