I have just got ntl broadband in my home, I want to share this connection with other members of my house. Ideally I would like to use a router (I have been looking at the D-Link DI-614+) and connect this straight to the modem. Is this possible?

If it is, what sort of info am I going to need. I know I can get the network between the computers in my house working (I've done that before) but the bit to the internet is confusing me...

Any info would be great.

You set all clients to "Obtain an IP address automaticly", you configure the router with your NT authentication information. You plug the modem into the router's WAN port and the PCs into the LAN ports. You turn on modem, then router, then PCs.

The manual will have more detailed instructions, but essentially that is all that is required.
