NTL Cable with adsl router

Does anyone know if there are any problems with compatability between an adsl wireless router and cable broadband?

I cant seem to get my freinds network running? do I need a different router?

Im in the UK...

dsl and cable are not the same thing. Please explain what you are trying to do. You need a cable modem/router for cable or a dsl modem/router for dsl (which is supplied over your phone line)
