Not sure if this is the right forum - apologies if wrong.

Trying to sort a problem with an NTL 200 cable modem in the U.K. It will work ok if connected via USB, but it is required to work with the Ethernet RJ-45 connection. I have the following questions:-

1. What is the default (LAN) IP Address?

2. If it uses DHCP, can this be disabled, and if so, how?

3. Will it accept a customer specific IP Address, and if so, how do I input this?

4. Am I correct in assuming this modem auto-senses connection via a straight or crossover patch cable?

Got it figured now... DHCP only, straight cable, numerous power-off/power-on resets get it to accept ethernet connection over USB.
