I've got a folder for example called MORETESTING. I've setup NTFS permissions to where they can't delete the MORETESTING folder. I need them to be able to manage (read, write, delete) files, folders, and anything with in though. They get an access denied when trying to delete the MORETESTING folder which is good but everything within that folder gets deleted also. That folder exists within their group drive G:\ . The path is \\server1\testing$ . Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

OK, so you are using ADvanced NTFS permissions and have set the ability to delete files and subfolders.

And your problem is that users can do that?

Move the folder out of the path of the users G drive so that they cannot see that level of the folder and therefore cannot click on it to delete it. Assign the folder its own drive letter or create a virtual directory to it.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
