Hi Guys,
I'm putting together a new server.
The data will be on a Raid 5
I'm wondering what the middle of the Road recommendation for the File Allocation size of the drive should be. It defaults to 512 bytes. I was thinking 4 or 8 K would be better for this. Or maybe even higher. I want to make sure I set this up right the first time.
We have a current sql server in place that I'm retiring. The databases are upto 6 gigs each in size and I have 5 of them. This data is the backend of a large accounting package with 20 users.
Just want to make sure I optimize it correctly.
thanks
