The receptionist in one of our offices has an NTDU92 IP phone with two add on modules. She would like a Bluetooth type headset that will allow her to answer the phone if she needs to step away from her desk for a minute.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a headset that would meet her needs and be compatible with that type of phone?

We use Plantronics CS70N units. They are not bluetooth but are wireless and seem to give good fidelity on transmit and recieve. We have used the Plantronics Bluetooth units but find them to be noisier on recieve and lower volume on transmit. It may be our environment, but thats my 2 cents worth!

Thanks, trvlr1! I just want to make sure...this headset can be used without a lifter, correct? The receptionist wants to be able to be down the hall and answer the reception phone via controls on the earpiece if it rings while she's stepped away.

I thing only the 1140/50 series not sure about the 2007 and 12xx series, but not the 2004.

Bluetooth has the option of picking up the line with the headset, but with the 2004 I have to assume you would need a lifter type (handset lifter) of headset......

We do not use these with lifters, but they manually start and end a call with the buttons on the phone. If you want to automatically start and end the call remotely you will need a lifter and they will need to be on the handset plug, not the headset plug. I have not tried this scenario, I would assume that the headsets would work plugged in to the handset jack, but I may be incorrect.
