I have a 2 group Option 81C. We need another device number and I'm at 15. The documentation is telling me I have 16 per group (0-15). How do I set the dip-switches to indicate a DNUM of 16?

Thanks for any clues!

0 - 15 that is '16' DNUM's - What type of card are you trying to address/set SDI/MSDL/PRI ?

Cheers!!

The DNUM is only group specific, i.e. you can have 0-15 in grp0 and another 0-15 in grp1. Thus on your 2-group 81C system you can have 32 DNUM's in all

A PRI card.

So you set the dip switches the same? It gets it's DNUM from what Group it's in? How do I set the DNUM by dip switches when they're are only 16 choices on the Dual- PRI card?

On the DDP card, there's a bank of switches, should be label S3. Look in the DDP doc to see what the address is for the DNUM you want.

example: If you want to use DNUM 3 then switch setting would be on on off off for switch 1-4 respectively, switch 5-7 should be off and 8 should be off for an external msdl card or on for the onboard dch d/b

How do I set the dip switches on a Dual PRI card to indicate a DNUM of 16? There are only 16 (0-15) possibilities. Does it depend on the dip switch settings AND what Group it's in?

Thanks.
