I've recently deployed a server to back up all the machines on my network. I'm using NTBACKUP and it works great however it's creating one file and appending the data to it every night rather than creating a new file for each backup. Am I missing something simple? also is there a way to get NTBackup to name the files with the date / time the files were created?

Thanks

From what i understand, NTBackup isnt that great...havent used it much myself. I think you'd be better off grabbing a copy of Veritas BackupExec. How are you backing them up, are you sharing their drives with your server? Mapping them?
Or backing up individually onto your server then backing those files up into 1 backup file?
