ntbackup

hey all,

I have a w2k server running sp3.

this is just a dumb file and print server, nothing fancy.

never used ntbackup before, but i gather you have to prepare a tape before you can use it.

when i try to prepare a tape that ntbackup has used before, it says the resource is in use

also, if i dont prepare the tape and just use ntbackup to overwrite it, the new tape doesnt appear in the restore list, only the original media is visiable.

any ideas? am i being a dunce?
