Anyone use ntbackup on 2000 server this version has been written by veritas and providing you have exchange admin installed on the 2000 server it allows exchange online backups of local and remote servers, even backups to HDD. I have been told it is better than any of the backup agents on the market today, can anyone confirm this please. Now with sever 2000 upgrade shipping for just over $300 you have the complete package for exchange backups.

Any ppl that have used this method feedback would be greatly appreciated.

As per a Microsoft trainer, NTbackup is written by Veritas as you know. Microsoft can not say this, but I was told to use Backupexec by veritas with the exchange agent. I have used it for years and it works like a dream. Much more functional than NTBACKUP.

We have also used the veritas agent for Exchange and it has done an excellent job. When your dealing with your companies exchange server I believe it is a reasonable cost and well worth it.
