NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE with SAMBA server

hi there..
I hv installed samba server. It is working fine till i switched to user option for security. when i try to connect to my linux box via netwok neighbourhood in win98, it asks for password. when i try with
smbclient -L <myserver name> it asks for the password i have tried may password with existing users but no one is working.
who do i configure my samba server, that while connecting through win98 it must ask user name and password.
anybody suggest me the solution....

Have you created samba users on the *nix machine? This is not the same as your *nix users. For more info, visit the Samba forum forum865, it has been posted there several times.
