I have a NT8D22AC card that is going bad. I have a NT8D22AD to replace it. The NT8D22AC dip switches say on where the NT8D22AD say open. Is open the same as on or is it off?

Open is always off in my experience. Like a light switch. But even a continuity test would be suspect if the layout of the PCB is different.

gh is right.. on is refered to as either closed or the 1 postition in the doc's.. 90 percent of the time it is either up or to the right of the card...
i've never found a nortel doc where closed is off..
