i have NT7B53 model of meridain and i don't know what are the purpose of three Am phenol cable ports in the Modular ICS system because in other systems we have only 2 ports one for trunks and one for extension..
Plz people help me out in this

The Modular ICS has 3 Amphenol connectors because it can support up to 32 extensions. The Compact ICS has 2 Amphenol connectors because it can support up to 24 extensions.

On the Modular ICS, from top to bottom:

[ul]
[li]The first Amphenol connector is for extensions 1 through 24.[/li]
[li]The second Amphenol connector is for extensions 25 through 32, paging, music and auxiliary ringer.[/li]
[li]The third Amphenol connector is for lines and emergency telephones.[/li]
[/ul]

On the Compact ICS, from top to bottom:

[ul]
[li]The first Amphenol connector is for extensions 1 through 24 and auxiliary ringer.[/li]
[li]The second Amphenol connector is for lines, paging, music, emergency telephones and analog terminal.[/li]
[/ul]

There is a wiring chart of the Modular ICS and of the Compact ICS in their respective Installer Guide. Go straight to the Installation > Connecting the Wiring chapter. You can find a PDF copy of these guides online.
