Hi guys,
I set up the conference phone as an analog extension. I noticed that it is not possible to make conference calls. Initially, I thought it had to do with the trunk, but when on a call, there is no "conf" feature on the soft buttons to use in order to dial the second number even among extensions. I tried using 'Flash', but of course that dropped the call. I'm using the KX-NCP500.

Am I missing something? Has anyone successfully made conference calls using this phone?

I'd appreciate positive feedback and welcome assistance.

change your flash timer to match the system, around 90 to 110 ms pulse

make the first call then press flash dial second party, then press flash 3 to join all calls together

Thank you,, Obtsystems.
However, I just tried locating the system flash timer from Timers & Counters, but could not locate it. Also, I noticed all the timers are in seconds(s) and not milliseconds(ms).
Could you help?

this timer I would changed on the conference unit. but if you want to do it on the system. it is under card property's.

you may have to bring up the flash time to match the conference unit flash timer

Heyyy,
It worked between extensions. And also, between one external call and many extensions.
But I need it to work using for calling two and more external numbers. I use an ISDN so I don't understand why it is not working.

It should not make any difference to external lines unless efa is on trunks and is sending it to the trunk and not to the system

what way did you change it. on the system or the unit?

Again, thanks! I made changes on the unit and not the system. All calls are routed through the system's configuration, then through the trunk. Also, I have to place the external call first before making the calls to the extensions. If I try the other was around-calling the extensions first, then the external number-I get a reorder tone.

sounds strange, should not make any difference which is made first. I presume you are dialing line access code

Not at all. Direct dialling. I find it strange too.

How are you direct dialing without access code after flash did you try dialing 9
