NT5D12 vs NT5D11

I have a configuration on a NT5D11 lineside T1 card and I am wondering if it is possible to use a NT5D12 and get the same type of configuration.

The lineside card is setup as D4 AMI loopstart and the ports are setup as 500 ports in LD 10 (exactly like a typical analog port).

Can something similar be done on the NT5D12 card? If so does anyone know where I can find docs as to how to do it?

Are you sure you don't mean NT5D14 instead of NT5D12?

I can not verify the part number as I do not have access to the system. This is what I have been told by the switch tech on site.

There is a NTP called Circuit Card Description and Installation, which should help you out. The thing is, I don't see a NT5D12 in the manual. NT5D11 is a T1 card for large systems only, and the NT5D14 is the T1 card for small systems. You might look at GHTROUTS site. He posts a lot of NTP docs.

Yeah, so I'm thinking you need another NT5D11, not the NT5D12

the 12 is a pri/t1 card.. depending on the far end interface you could use a dual pri... remeber it takes a loop slot, not a slot in the ipe shelf.. major change if your 81 is getting full... if you don't have switch access.. ld 117 inv gen.. ld 117 inv prt cards, might help

Essentially I need to know if I can configure the NT5D12 to be a D4 AMI loopstart with the ports setup as 500 sets.

I am not swapping out the 11 for the 12. I have a customer that has the 12 which I have not worked with before. I have worked with the 11 before and configured it as above and am wondering if the 12 can be configured similarily or if I am beating a dead horse

no, the 12 is a trunk card

It's listed as a DTI/PRI card so you should be able to programm with D4 AMI.
