I have a NT4 server running SQL 6.5. Not being overly familiar with SQL 6.5, my question is how can I migrate or upgrade SQL 6.5 to win2k server? Will I need to upgrade to SQL 7.0 or later, is there a SP for SQL 6.5 for win2k clients? I've already set win2k server

Thanks

You are bit confused.

NT can be upgraded to Windows 2000

SQL Server 6.5 can be upgraded either to 7.0 or directly to 2000.

SQL Server 6.5, 7.0 and 2000 will work on NT and windows 2000

Sorry for the confusion, I was wanting to know whether SQL 6.5 would work on Win2k and how I would tranfer the Database info from nt4 server to a new win2k server.

The safest way to move the database(s) is to do a backup on the old server and a restore on the new server. You wil need to set up security on the new server.
