Hi,

Today I recieved a pop-up message stating the my system will shut down
in 1 hour because my evaluation period has run out. Now for the good
part...I run multiply NT4 servers with service pack 5. ALL servers were built with the same
original CD(not an eval copy). The systems have been running for a couple
of years. This paticular machine is fairly new (built about 4 months ago).
Any idea how to correct this problem? I really don't want to off load every
thing on this machine and start over. I have many printers and a couple
of inportant programs running that would involve a lot of time to reconfigure.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

I seem to remember that I did the same thing (I needed to rebuild a server in a hurry, but only had the eval disk at the time). When the period ran out I resigned myself to a rebuild, but in fact you can 'update' the installation using the proper disk, with surprisingly little work.

I'm afraid this was about 5 years ago, so I don't remeber exactly what happened, but for sure if you start the install from the CD, you will be able to see what the options are before you trash the current setup.
