NT4.0 BDC upgrade to W2k member server

Help please. We are trying to upgrade a NT4.0 server that was a BDC to W2k server and make it a member server. We still have 2 other NT4.0 servers acting as the PDC and BDC. Whenever we reboot the server it runs a AD wizard and errors with "An AD for the domain or an AD domain controller could not be found".

Your first upgrade should be the PDC.

Thanks.. but that is not an option. All I want to do is use this as a member server and not worry about upgrading the PDC or other BDC yet.
