I have taken a machine from our domain at work and moved it home as a spare machine. The login script is still looking for the work domain. How do I get into the operating system to make it a viable home computer on an at home wireless network?

Firstly, goto Admin Tools -> User Manager and make sure you know the local Administrator password, as if you don't you'll not be able to use the PC again without formatting.

Once you have set that password, Go to Control Panel -> Network, and remove it from the domain (put it on a workgroup).

Reboot and you should be able to log in locally without it looking for the domain. [auto] MCSE NT4/W2K
