Was able to get to the Desktop with my admin password and username. Switched the computer from on the company's domain to workgroup in the Control Panel - Network. Now the computer will not respond to the old admin password and user login. Looking for a computer user login and password that I cannot break?

You were logged on with Domain user id/password - which is not valid locally (this is a common problem judging by the number of posts!). You need the local Administrator (or Admin level user id) password. Whoever setup the PC originally should be able to tell you (local admin passwords often set up blank or =password or =administrator on Domain PCs).

If no joy - has a disk image to create a bootable CD which allows you to change passwords without knowing existing.

Thanks John for your help. Re-Applying SP6a didn't work but the registry tweek did.

Cheers
