NT vs Win2000

We are use a large catalog on Impromptu 6. When the catalog was changed via Administrator on Win2000 it would often get corrupted. Cognos were no help - our only solution was to use NT4 when changing the catalog.
Still no idea why this happened, interested to know if anyone else has encountered this. Suggest you try it out before jumping.
