I know there are a ton of tips on this subject, but I just wanted to make sure that my thinking is correct before I take the plunge.

We currently have an
NT PDC(Server A), 1 NT BDC(Server B), and several 2000 member servers. The goal is to make one of our 2000 member servers(Server C) the new PDC w/ AD & DNS.

My plan was to:
1. Sync all servers
2. Take an NT BDC(B) offline for recovery purposes.
2. Upgrade the NT PDC(A) to 2000 and set up AD & DNS.
3. Promote Server C to PDC.
4. Have Server C take over the global catalog role.
5. Demote Server A to a member server.

Does this sound like a wise plan, or does anyone have any different suggestions?

Thanks.
