I have completed all the steps in the white paper on auto NT logon. The users are loaded from the domain, and NT authentication is activated. logon.csp is changed also, but that is not pertinate to this problem.

The NT logons work, users can enter their NT info and they indeed get logged on and have appropriate permissions.

When I use a URL to retrieve the report, the "autologon" as described does not occur.

From the white paper:

Should work (filling in the appropriate values and leaving usr and pwd blank as above) to auto log a user to the console. This doesn't work. Even placing an appropriate NTuser and NTpwd for user and pwd doesn't work. I can however use a CEuser and CEpw (leaving auth to windows) and it does work??????

I need to have these links start working. I am talking with tech support but have not yet found an answer.

Anyone here have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Lisa

Okay, I have reloaded the NT users and now I have it at least working if I actually send an NTUser and NTpwd. It still doesn't "auto login" if these fields are left blank.

Any ideas at all would be appreciated.

Hi,
Do you have a resolution to this problem?
Using CE 8.5 :

When using Windows Authentication, trying to use auto-login, however the application is not auto-logging in the user. I am able to login using the NT ID and Password, however this does not login automatically.

I have properly disabled "anonymous access" in IIS, and enabled Windows NT authentication in the Web Component Server, and restarted this service.

Any ideas?

Sorry I didn't go back and answer all the threads that I started on this. In our case, the culprit was that our server is a Backup Domain Controller.

I thought for a while that Crystal was going to fix this, but although they said they supported it (CE8 on a BDC), they weren't going to fix it. They don't support it on 8.5, so of course now their recommendation to me is to upgrade (I would if I had a spare server that wasn't a BDC). I have looked for any documentation that says they don't, which I haven't found, but that is the word that support has given me.

I have not found a work around for this.

I have several other problems also related to having ce8 on a bdc. If this is your problem let me know and I can list them out for you.
