This might be a stupid question, but here it goes. During NT Setup what does the F6 key do? What is its function?

Thanks in advance

John Stephens

Hey.
The F6 key is used when using a none Microsoft standard driver for you primary mass storage component. Pressing it when setup starts detecting for the first time, will allow you the option of installing your own propriatory driver, thus preventing setup to fail because it can't find any disks to install onto.

ahh....thanks!! This week I will be installing NT 4.0 Server for the first time. Should be an adventure. Am sure I might have more questions before I am done.

Much Appreciated,

John Stephens
