NT Services

I'm running Checkpoint firewall 4.0 on a Windows NT 4.0 box. Sporadically the Firewall service nneds to be restarted within NT. I have no idea why this is going on. It can go weeks without happening....then it can be 3times in one day that I need to restart the service. The CPU is usually pegged out on the perf. monitor. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What NT Service Pack are you running ?
What are the HW specifications of your server (RAM / processor speed, ...)
