NT Server Can't Map to 2000 Hostname

[tmlincoln]

two domains, nt and 2000. each nt server can connect to each 2000 server except one. i brought it online this morning, a 2000 server. the nt servers can ping and attach to it via its IP address, but can't ping or attach using it's hostname.

the trust are configured correclty and i deleted then re-added the 2000 server to the nt server manager.

any help is much appreciated.

i gave it enough time.
there is no host file for the other servers

Can the 2k servers all see the new one? Did you create any policies restricting hostname resolution? Josh
