Hi Folks,
We just installed a new NT server as a BDC, promoted it to PDC and turned off the old server. We copied over all the old folders and now the users can only get to the network shares if they have administrator access in their user profiles. The shares have access permissions that list everyone. What are we doing wrong? Thanks for any help

How did you set the permissions? Is it possible you have set share level permissions, but not NTFS permissions?

That would mess it up.

Check your NTFS permissions at the folder level. When permissions have been granted at both the share level and the NTFS level, the user actually realizes the more restrictive of the 2.

Hope this helps... - Bill
