Hi,

I have this problem on some NT4 WS where a tiff file with a long name is changed in the 8.3 format (with the ~1 char) in the title bar from Wang Imaging (which ships with WinNt4).
I'm not sure this problems is application-related, so i changed a particular key in de registry which denies the system from creating 8dot3 filenames on NTFS volumes
(After restarting the registry, the problem was still there.
Copying the file to the local disk didn't change anything either, but saving the file with another (long) filename suddenly changed the name in the title bar too !!
But after reopening that particular file, the 8.3 name showed up again...

Anyone can direct me a little bit in the richt direction ?
