My organisation runs Exchange 5.5, SP4 on Windows NT SP6a. We've just installed a group of security updates on all the Exchange servers in our site. However, since installing them, we can no longer remotely administer an Exchange server by running Admin.exe on our workstations. We get a DS_E_COMMUNICATIONS_PROBLEM when we try to connect. It's interesting to note that the problem does not exist if attempting to connect from another Windows NT Server with the Admin program installed.
We've tracked the problem down to the Windows NT Post SP6a Rollup Patch, Q299444i.exe. If we remove this, our problems stop.
Has anyone come across this problem before, or have any suggestions about how to go about fixing it?
