I would like to apply permissions on user's home dir across a few domains. The permissions are:all users have change and administrator full control.
what is the quickest way of applying file permissions as i do not want to access each dir and change permissions?

thanks guys

Start at the top level directory, Then check the boxes for 'Apply to all files and sub-directories' and 'Replace existing permissions'

Chris.

500 plus users, I want to change each of their settings so that the sharing and permissions are: user has change and admin has full control.

i cannot apply at the top of the tree for all of them as they are different users.

thanks chris for the reply

Try this instead :

share permission - full control everyone
NTFS - as Chris said

for 500 users, a perl script or batch should be to consider...

I haven't researched it yet but, there is an executable in Winnt\system32 called cacls.exe. It can be used to set permissions in multiple folders.
