Hi All

I am trying to create a customised backup command to run on NT using networker v6.0.2. I have specified nsrnjb.bat as my backup command for a particular client but whatever I put in this file, I get "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect" from the savegroup details and the client backup fails.

Is there a particular format for this file? I have followed the three rules specified in the online help but to no avail.

TIA

Nick

Are you trying to run pre and post backups scripts? If so, it has to use savepnpc. You can have savepnpc call that batch file by editing <groupname>.res in the nsr\res folder on the client.

Thanks rgzimmer - I know about savepnpc but I am trying to get round a problem with it where it leaves a file called c:\nsr\tmp\<GROUP>.tmp hanging about in some circumstances. This prevents the pre and post jobs being processed next time around. I would like to create a wrapper for savepnpc which checks for this file being present and removes it if no savepnpc processes are running. I have a perl script to do this but I guess this needs to be called from a batch file specified as the "backup command". But I can't get legato to run this batch file!
