I have seven NT 4.0 workstations that run a dBase IV application that resides on our NT 4.0 server. For about three years, we haven't had any problems running the application. Now, four of the seven PC's run the application very slow and the other three run it fine. I have not changed the autoexec.nt, config.nt, or the .pif files and all seven workstations files are configured the same. The only changes I made recently was on the bosses PC (hers runs the app slow) and I loaded SP6a, IE 5.5 SP2, and Norton AntiVirus 7.5.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. My boss is going crazy. Thank you.

In case anyone is interested in this thread, I solved the problem myself. The culprit was Norton AntiVirus 7.5. NAV 7.5 scans the .dll's harder than any of the older versions. I ended up telling NAV to not auto scan all .dll's and now my old dBase application is performing the way it used to.
