NT 4.0 Workstation - Missing SCSI disk

We recently retired an external box of 4 scsi disks from our unix server and want to use it on an NT 4.0 (SP.6) workstation. When the machine boots up it reports 6 scsi devices (1 internal disk, plus 4 external disks and a CD ) but NT only sees 4 disks plus the CD.

Is there some restriction on the number of scsi devices or can anyone suggest some other reason for the missing disk?

Thanks, John Connolly [sig][/sig]

Hey.
Is it the internal one?
Bad connections?
Bad ID number? Perhaps it shares the controller ID?
Bad Controller setup data?
Bad termination?
Cable too long?
New driver?
Bad disk or controller?
Just some ideas, I don't know about the restriction, doesn't sound right at all, being as you can have 15 devices on a controller.

What does the SCSI BIOS see? 4 or 6? [sig]<p>Zel<br><a href=mailto:zel@zelandakh.co.uk>zel@zelandakh.co.uk</a><br><a href= > </a><br> [/sig]

Hey.
Also if the BIOS does see it, check your NT SCSI driver.
