nt 4.0 sp6a hung on reboot after second nic installed 1

Hi. I installed a second nic and used the wrong driver, now nt won't boot past the ctl alt del dialog box. I have a frozen screen, no stop messsage or blue screen of death. I do not have an emergency repair disk, I do have the 3 install floppies and the cd.

I have removed the second nic with no sucess.

Any ideas, I would prefer to not re-install.

Have you tried choosing last known good hardware config during startup or booting in VGA mode?

Thanks very much John. Eventually this worked, I only had the original configuration, and somehow I kept booting the default.
