NT server 4.0 -- file server -- throughout the day users will just not be able to access it....im not there to check..i go tomorrow....a reboot always fixes it..BUT -- the computer will say (before the reboot) no domain server found.....but then over time the server will not be able to be accessed by a certain number of people (never really the same people).. i would say liscensing...BUT...why would it give me a no domain error?? oh well...no errors in the event viewer that can point me anywhere..nothing...im not there to check anything..i go tomorrow....any ideas i can check out?

Switch, Hub, wiring, NIC. What's the utilization look like when no one can access it? Is it running any whacky services? Licensing is an easy one to check. How 'bout disk space?

How many licenses do you have.
How many users do you have.
How's network congeston.
MS messages arent always the most helpful.

the only thing is disk space...it is marginal...about a gig or so free on each disk..but one...which is a 50 or so MB free thingy....also..i just noticed..on boot up...it gives me an error stating that this system is running with an improperly sized paging file..blah blah blah...i have DOUBLEd the size..still get the lame error...sorry for not putting that info in....

kjonnnnn, network congestion is pretty normal....the user/license status is one thing i did want to look at..BUT...since our last upgrade of licenses we have not added a client to the network..so i can't see how that would cause a prob..but i do see that this prob could possibly stem from something like that....
