NT 4.0 Server SP6.0 Setup Problem

New built machine...

Upon logon and checking the viewer log I'm encountering the following entry...
Source... "W3SVC"
Description.. "server was unable to register administration tool discovery information. Administration tool may not be able to see the server. Data is an error code.
Error Code... "0000 000004c6 (words)

Any help would be great.

w3svc is the web services part of IIS (Internet Information Server). . .I'd look at that first. If you're not providing web services, it should be safe to un-install/disable it.

Don't forget, as with any change (or no change at all!) you should always backup first!

During install did you install the IIS features right off the NT 4.0 server cd? I recomend using SP6a then install the IIS 4.0 off of the option pack cd.
