I am trying to restore an NT 4.0 machine.
My enviroment is
Brightstor V9 with service pack installed
Restore machine Compaq 1850 with 2dh Raid Controller
Running NT 4.0
All hardware is found.
I try to do a remote restore and after I put in the machine specific disk and do a reboot it blue screens with inaccessable_boot_device.
So I built the machine with a bare version of NT 4.0 on it and did a restore of the C: drive and it wouldn't boot it did a NTkernal.exe not found. Does anyone have tips or an article on how to do a restore of NT 4 using arcserve. I would like to use the DR but for now I just need to have a working plan of restoring NT 4 machines.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated

I'd suggest that you check with CA (you have a support agreement?) before proceeding.

Kindest regards,

James
