I have an ASP website running on IIS 4.0/NT 4.0. I'm using Challenge/Response for security. I'm experiencing some very weird behavior with a hyperlink. The link takes the user outside of the secure site to a public site. The problem is that when someone clicks on this link, the Challenge/Response login box pops up again asking them to re-logon. But unless they have admin privilidges, the logon fails. Now, if I was logged onto the site as an administrator, I don't get the challenge/response login box when I click on the link.
It almost seems like the NT group that has access to this secure site is missing some kind of priviledge that would allow them to go from the secure site to the insecure site without having to re-logon. But they shouldn't have to re-logon in the first place because the link is to a public site. Very weird.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
