NSW 2003 Common Driver conflicts with scanner

Just installed systemworks pro 2003 and now i get blue screen or illegal operation VS16.DLL when i try to use scanner. Scanner worked fine until i downloaded LiveUpdate. I noticed a Common Driver: SymEvent during LiveUpdate. Does anyone know what i can do?
