nss-wins "synchronized" to external IP address?

We are running WINS services on our Samba server. In the syslog, I'm seeing periodic entries like this:

nss_wins: synchronized to 63.240.161.99, stratum 2

This occurs with two external IP addresses. I did a reverse lookup on these IP addresses, and I have no idea why either one is there and what it is for. These are not anything that was configured here. I'm not sure if nss_wins is part of Samba or something else. Also don't see why it would need to synchronize to some outside server.

Any idea what is happening?
