hello everybody,

I currenly have more than 100 volumes and each volume contains several saveset from different client. several savesets browse time which was backup 6 month ago had expired. is that possible to rebuild the CFI from specific date by performing nsrck -L7 -t date ? does it just restore the CFI of that specific date or it restore all CFI from that specific date to the current date ? if it is restoring the whole CFI from that specifics date to now, then we need to insert many volumes inside juke box. am I right ?

thanks for the advice.

Hi,

If you choose the full index save from just after the date you want to recover from (assuming you have one), you should get what you're looking for.. It will restore the whole thing, but you'll only need the tape(s) from that index save. Get the nsavetime for the index save from mminfo, then run nsrck -L7 -t <nsavetime> <clientname>

Good Luck!
