nsr thinks hostname is elsie(it used to be) but it is now
oracle1 ....nsr has expired it's license due to this and
now we don't know why this hostname mixup??? we type
hostname on server and get oracle1? backups won't run

need help now if possible ...anyone out there?????

I'm asuming that this is your backup server and that you changed the host name on it?

Go to and contact Legato about a Host Name transfer. The license code you have is directly linked to the Host name and IP address of the server. If you change it, you have either 10 or 14 days to get a host name transfer for it. If you're past that time, you can either change the name back or wait for the name transfer.

Hope this helps.
