I setup a name server in Solaris 7,
I use named.conf, named.ca, named.hosts , named.local,
named.rev,
when I finished , it can ping
but when I issued #nslookup, it failed , say
****************
# nslookup
*** Can't find server name for address 192.0.1.10: Non-existent host/domain
*** Default servers are not available

****************

192.0.1.10 is my Ipaddress ,
what is matter ?

Thanks

Thanks

Mingx98,
Have you added a /etc/resolv.conf file? Have you modified your nsswitch.conf file to use dns instead of files or nis?
