I have a windows 2008 r2 Server, configuration inherited.
When I run NSLOOKUP from the command prompt - I get the following:
DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds
Default Server: UnKnown
Address: 3ffe:b021:2d::1
If I specify the IPV4 address as the dns server within nslookup pc names and ip are resolved without any issues.
I don't know where the IPV6 Address 3ffe:b021:2d::1 is coming from? I've checked all IPV6 properties and they are all set to automatic?
How do I get the first dns server to point to the IPV4 address and get rid of this IPV4 address that nslookup is defaulting to?
The customer in question has a cloud based phone system and there is a slight drop every so often, the phone systems support say it is a dns issue and this is the only issue I can see??
Thank you in advance!
