NS700 Communications Assistant password reset for ext?

Hello brothers and sisters.

I just took over a Panasonic NS700 system and running into trouble understanding how to reset the Communication Assistant password for an extension.

I tried to follow the instructions here but when I press Program *1 on what I think is a manager phone I get the error "Already in Use".

Note: The very first time I tried this I was able to get to the password prompt, but it didn't like my password.

All I can think is the manager feature is locked out from my previous attempt(?)

Any and all help very much appreciated!

And can someone confirm how I make the extension a "manager" extension and where do I set the password?

Already in use would be because you probably are logged in on the software to the system

obt, thank you. Seems I had to wait until next day because this morning it worked.

It seems when I entered the password wrong yesterday it locked the system as "Already in Use". I was going to reboot the phone system this morning if status was still "in Use" but found it was working and with the default PIN.

Update edit: Upon further review, the error "Already in Use" occurs if someone has the WMC open(!). Also if you are logged into manager menu on a phone, you cannot login to WMC. Newbie mistake!
