Hi guys

have a problem with a remote HD130 handset, the phone is registered to the MRG on a NS1000

i have ports setup

(UDP)15060 points to PBX IP

(UDP)16000 - 16511 points to DSP 1

(UDP)16512- 17023 points to DSP 2

(UDP) 2727-PBX IP

(UDP) 9300 - PBX IP

extension is set to remote MRG, the phone is registered and can establish calls but no voice? Firewall rules are setup, is the HD phones compatible with this setup ?

Not sure where to go with this now as the Firewall guys assure me rules are OK. would appreciate any input.

Thanks

Hi everyone quick update

the off site sip handsets which register back to his NS1000 on main site calls do get established and phone register but no RTP stream. After various re installs, firewall checks inserting routes in now have the phones working calling in/out externally. Issue now is every second internal call passes no voice packets and every other internal call works. Previous traces showed it jumps from one DSP card to the other indicating it could be a faulty card? Although all other services work fine. Cheers

It will spread accross the 2 dsp ports. What firewall are you using. Make sure any sip helpers or alg are disabled
Do you have 2 dsp card or one large card. If 2 cards you skip ports 16512 range and go to 16724. To confirm this check if the mac address is in dsp 2 or 3

Cheers for coming back to me OBT appreciate it. They have a Cisco ASA 5506 Firewall. SIP ALG is disabled but they are not sure how to turn off SIP helpers on the Firewall..

By the looks i have a Large DSP and one other? i have have attached picture if you dont mind having a look.

Thanks for your time

Yes you look like you have a large dsp. If you do a wireshark trace On the system side is the requsred port the one that comes back

Yes I'm sure it was I will double check the traces that were taken. Looking at this do you reckon I only have one large DSP card or one large and one medium? How should the RTP ports be set, should the above opened ports work or should I ask to have more opened up ? Cheers again

Sorry I was sick forva few days and catch up took time

Did uou get sorted

Hdv130 is a sip phone so use the sip setup not the ip phone one
You will have to do port for sip through the media gateway

Hi OBT

No worries thanks for coming back on this. Yeah I have the HDV pointing to the MRG EXTERNAL IP. Then the firewall routes the voice packets to DSP.

Do you mean the ports above are wrong and different ports should be open? It does work but only on every second call. So when the second Range of RTP ports are used on every other call it doesn't pass voice. In process of raising with Panasonic any help would be appreciated.
